We need a ROTFL smiley for the post icons. This one deserves it.
Yep, I'm getting 1A play Saturday for a story on Christmas tree farms. (You may roll your eyes and sigh now. I am!) I'm spending the afternoon making phone calls for it, and on the National Christmas Tree Association website I found this fun fact: Actually fake trees were invented by a company who made toilet bowl brushes, the Addis Brush Company. Regardless of how far the technology has come, it's still interesting to know the first fake Christmas trees were really just big green toilet bowl brushes. Perhaps I'll be buying "live" this year.

Thanks for that interesting bit of info!!
 I have a fake tree-- just thought about how I could decorate it with TP-- LOL!! -- seems kind of fitting!  Wonder if they make TP in other colors? like pink or blue?- don't think I've ever seen anything but white....

My favorite fake trees are the aluminum trees from the '60's with the rotating colored lightrs! Wish I had one!

I just had a vision of a big tree looped with toilet paper instead of garland! Hugs, Jan PS. I don't think I'll ever look at my fake tree the same again!

I, for one, am happy for artificial trees, as I am allergic to the pine, cedar, spruce scents!
I think the color TP went out of style because the dyes caused irritation!

lol now we're going to confuse ppl coming to the thread to read about fake trees and find us talking about TP! It rhymes but ...really!
The aluminum ones are back, but ever more expensive! I don't think these burn up like the old ones did.

Wow-- you guys have some great ideas! hanging "tank thingies" too!! Maybe it could be our PC tree with TP and brightly painted "tank thingies"! -- Ho Ho Ho!!

I think we should get one of the triple rolls of tp, apply a light glue spray and roll it all over in gold glitter and use it for our tree topper. It would be absolutely beautimous!

It won't be any tackier than the decorations my landlord put *outside* the house....I'll have to take a picture when I'm done!
