I am aware that you put yourself in a competitive environment every week. Do you remember the last time you suffered a "poor run of form", that means, not winning as many games? What did you learn that made you improve on your next game?

I no longer compete, but back in the day, if I was having a slump I would try to figure out what was causing it and address that. Some times I would go to another professional for some coaching to help with whatever the problem was. Every once in awhile I just didn't feel like competing. My solution to that was to take a break and find a way to get back to doing what I did for the sheer fun of doing it.

I took a break...it's been a year now.. I wish I was interested again.

But to answer your question, yeah I'd just take a week break. That always helped me out. Golf is different from other sports though.
