Not sure where to ask this question. With a group of kids (about age 10 or so), and they're building little pizzas, with all the ingredients set out on the table - then one or two kids seem to have piled most of the pepperoni onto their own. The result then is that other kids don't get any of the pepperoni. How to get the message to the kids about just taking some of the pepperoni, so that everybody gets some? Any ideas?

How about pointing out to them that they should share so others get some pepperoni too?

yeah - said all that. Thinking too of trying to set up the ingredients in a different way, so that they have to move along the line of stuff (instead of all mobbing at one spot). Taking turns, sort of. Or tell them (at the beginning) - that each person can have 3 slices of pepperoni per person. What else to say to them?

What about asking the kids how they would like to solve the problem?

I like lizardlady's suggestion.
Also, you could make it a math adventure...maybe giving them each a certain amount of pepperonis theycan take and let them count them out ![]() |
