I'm not sure if there is a forum like this and I apologize if there is but I thought this would be a fun thing to start
 Just post things that make you happy and/or make life better! The few things that make me feel a bit happy is ; - Receiving mail - When the sun is out just right and makes for perfect pictures - Passing a test I was sure I was going to fail - Shopping - When my dog cuddles up to me or naps with me - Rainy days - Good books with wonderful endings - Long, deep conversations where you get everything off your chest - Thrift shopping - Summer nights So, what makes you happy? (: |

when my son makes me coffee before he wakes me up
driving my car in the sunshine with the top down and the music loud when one of my model horses wins a ribbon or trophy at a live show staying in a hotel with an in-room jacuzzi a good book when my hair stylist washes my hair and massages my scalp looking at pictures from long ago spa pedicures kittens my forever horse, Dusty, RIP my laptop and the world wide web homemade brownies still warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream sunbathing learning something new teaching others something new target practice with good marksmanship retail therapy aka shopping when a critical patient is doing better at the end of my shift than they were at the beginning looking at my son's beautiful face sugar snap peas and tomatoes fresh from the garden browsing through the stacks at a library playing video games and pin ball machines making love in a hammock in the woods __________________ The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well. anonymous |

Depends on my mood.
Sometimes an adrenaline kick from a carousel or similar. Sometimes a good cuppa tea talking with my friend about alien life. Sometimes watching a good documentary. Sometimes singing. Sometimes having written a good poem. Sometimes being told I'm smart. (Yea narcissist warning... LOL) My kitties. Sometimes... nothing. __________________

When the sun shines through the clouds after a rain, its so beautiful. good, black garden soil. predawn. the innocent giggle of a toddler. when your child looks at you, really looks and you can see each others soul, any one of these makes me stop what I'm doing, for it is in those moments that my idea of Heaven has touched the Earth, and I can see, feel, take in the beauty of the world. In those moments, nothing else matters. In that moment, I truly feel peace

I am happy when my pets are happy.
Cooking makes me happy. When I can open windows (finally), and let some fresh air IN. When entire rooms in my house are orderly, and clean. When I know I have really helped somebody. When I hear from a beloved friend. When the grass is just that certain colour green just for a short while, in the Spring...and when the trees burst into leaf. |
