I've always loved music and wanted to learn how to play a ton of instruments, but recently ( maybe a month ago ) ive really wanted to form a band of some sort and make music...of course, there arent very many people who are dedicated or have a similar taste in music at the moment, so i guess ill just have to wait for a little bit. I just really want to make music that people will listen to and enjoy....Like Radiohead and Beck for example

I tried and lost my business but I wanted to have an honest, low cost security company that would help small businesses and churches. No one called and after 2 years I had so much debt I had to close up shop.

I wanted to go into traditional animation, and even received a scholarship for it. That was derailed by some art therapy turning my art into a trigger for my PTSD.
Over 10 years later, my dream is now to reclaim my art from those negative memories. Once it is mine again I'd like to make my living off of my artwork like I had originally planned to. |

I wanted to be a CRNA but my son was three years old when I was accepted into a program and they say the first five years of life are the most important so I decided to wait. Then my son had trouble in school because of ADHD and a learning disability so I waited again. Finally my son is maturing and needs me less but I am 55 years old. The tuition for the 36 months of the program is $90,000 altogether. I don't know how many years I could work and not sure if it is a good investment. I wish I had gone to grad school before starting a family but que sera, sera.

Well, I always wanted to learn to play an instrument! Specifically, the guitar & piano, I own both, but have no idea how to play neither, lol! I also wanted to learn foreign languages, starting with but not limited to Spanish & Italian.

I wanted to be a pilot, but that was shot to bits when I had seizures. I've always wanted to be involved in something on an international level, like social, development, or medical programs in hard hit countries. I have no money, no religion, no contacts, and medical issues. I do have a BA in Social/Cultural Studies.

I wanted to get a college degree in either social work or dental hygiene. I got caught in red tape with financial aide. Also did not get good counsel from anyone. It is best to get your education while you still live with your parents.

I dreamed by the time I was 60 I wouldn't have to worry about the future, it looks like I'm just spending all I've saved on medical bills and will be trying to get by on Social Security. It will mean giving up a lot of things I enjoy.

I am one of those people that is constantly dreaming up dreams, but is not proactive at chasing them.
The biggest dream I had since a child was that I wanted to be a performer. You know, sing, dance, act, the whole nine yards. I don't think my parents were very supportive of that dream because despite me asking for acting lessons and such, they never did take me. Eventually as I got older, I tried some things as a teenager but quickly realized I didn't have much of the raw talent and charisma as others, so I started to give up hope. Then my anxiety started to get in the way and now I have no time to practice instruments I learned how to play. I did join the church choir at one point, but then I started to get shortness of breath (from allergies) and sitting infront of the church during the whole service did no good to my anxiety, so I quit. My other (grown up) dream was to get my BA degree. I could always find time to go back to school (I am still young enough) but I don't even really know for what. I lean more towards English since it would involve alot of what I like, but I am afraid a degree like that would be a waste of time and money. At least I have an AA degree I guess. |

I want to visit Ireland someday, I want to have kids and get married, and I want to work for a zoo (or end up rich enough that I can spend all of my time there, volunteer or whatnot). Love the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha and could quite easily get lost there.

When I was very young, 1950s, I was always very clear on being a dental hygienist, which was a 5 year allied health sciences BS degree.
I did not receive proper guidance counseling in high school. Thus by the time I got to university, I was unprepared for the hard sciences, calculus, trig, etc. I sought out on my own to work as a dental assistant in a private practice. This was great and led to my being hired at the university dental school, in a parallel program to dental hygiene, but new and cutting edge. All of that opened up the rest of my life for me. No, I did not stay with dentistry longer than 5-6 years. That old restless BP perhaps? Story of my life, over and over. ![]()

She is an artist without doubt disappointed that paradise was not as close in 1969 as she and so many others hoped it was. Her work is now filled with the reality of humanity's failure to achieve the prophetic dream of her song, but never without the hope that that day will yet come. |

Owning a mansion and marrying a guy who looked hot in jeans. I've almost saved up enough for a trashy mobile home, plan to move there soon, to the trailer park.

I went to Ireland. It's damp and depressing and wound's never heal. Castles are cool and so are Irish men who practically sing with every move.

I wanted to be a bigshot author, but I think I'm happier out of the spotlight writing weird things. Maybe something will become big, anyway.

I dunno, it seemed when I'd really mastered my occupation/profession and yet kept with continuing ed courses to gain new skills, invariably I was told that my salary had pretty well peaked. Then I got perhaps resentful, bored and thus made my choice to leave. Silly of me, I know. I will make note of the neurontin, thank you. Just even being here in the house all day every day, sometimes it feels like I could chew nails, I'm that tense and hard strung. It's nuts. ![]()
