"We Are Marshal" is a movie that was released nationwide today. It is the true story of Marshal University, in Huntington, WV. In the 70's the plane carrying the football team crashed with all souls lost. It is still the worst college/sports disaster that has ever happened in the U.S.A.

It was filmed in Huntington and is not a sports story. It is the story of how a community, a coach and a University overcame unfathomable loss and grief. It shows the heart and
soul of the West Virginia Spirit. Please go watch it.

Oh, I do so hope you get to see it. All the theaters are sold out here, of course. I hope to see it soon.

BTW, the crash was in 1970, not later in the 70's as I stated. Everything is about courage and heart.

Hugs,

Jan

The hubby wants to see it (being a native West Virginian). However, I can't bring myself to see it at this point.

It hits a little too close to home. There were several times this season he (as the assistant coach) made recruiting trips while the head coach and entire team went to a game. Too similar at this point.

But it looks like a great movie. Maybe I'll send him with his dad. "We Are Marshall"
