Do you allow yourself to take a nap or rest during the day? I try to but can't always. From what I read its really good for you.

I have quite severe DSPS and a very unstable sleep pattern. If I fall asleep in the day I cannot be woken up. And I will have to start all over building my fake pattern.

So unless I'm sick, naps are forbidden for me.

I do take naps when possible. I usually feel much better when can do that.

Naps can be helpful. If you feel tired take a nap and put an alarm on and set it for 30 minutes or an hour. Naps can be refreshing when they don't change your main sleep sleep at night.
Thanks for this!

Last time I took a nap I ended up sleeping for five hours. Oops!

I sleep better at night if I fight through it and don't nap.

Same as me there! And it doesn't matter if I have a Ritalin and coffee before the nap. I don't wake up. My day sleep is incredibly deep.

If I could only day sleep I think my physical illness would clear up because when we are in deep sleep our bodies heal.

I can only take naps when I'm sick. Otherwise, I can't fall asleep at bedtime!

I've hear it's good for you too. Since I rarely get 8 hours at night it would probably be very good for me but I can't sleep even if I try.

Just closing the door and chilling out is awesome too.

I nap nearly every night after I get home from work. Sometimes I also need a before bed nap to get the energy to go upstairs and go to bed.

I find napping helps if I've become run down. Otherwise they are a disturbance to my needed nighttime sleep.

I find, if I'm craving one too many, I've either caught a cold or it's a prelude/ symptom to depression.
