I don't know if it makes me happy, but I smile lately when I describe to my husband how I curse at myself out loud. It's actually a sign of my deep depression that I do that, but it makes me smile/giggle because it's so silly (and I'm somewhat embarrassed).
Thanks for this!

My happiness comes from my two horses, Ginger and Dee. Dee is my 5 year old Thoroughbred mare. I've had her for over a year now and she has grown into such a grown up amazing horse. I love her so much even though I don't get to spend a lot of time with her since I'm always busy. Ginger is a almost 1 month old sport pony filly. She's a sassy little monster but she stole my heart the day she was born. My boss gave me Ginger when she was a few days old. I'm really excited to watch her grow.

My harp teacher's two dogs, who always greet me with tails wagging, wanting scratches and hugs, and to lick me.

Knitting.

Listening to Great Big Sea.

Nice people doing nice things.

Love.

Jokes, or humor in general.

Our gorgeous little rabbit.

When I play kick-*** stuff on the guitar.

Stuff like that.

It's the little things...

Too many to list.

Tonights example, oldest going with his brother to his class, so he'd have someone there, before stage, seeing I was going to watch youngest, 15 minute differential where there's one year/one grade apart.

The make shift laminated employee badge, of oldest. Packing tape and index cards, colored pencils.

Seeing two cardinals before work.

The smell of ozone, after a storm.

The knowing glances between myself and boys, passed along from generation to generation...

Deshelling a cooked lobster, knowing I'm the only one in my family that pays attention to rib meat...

The smell of the Ocean...

Etc, etc, etc...

I'm so out of it that I honestly don't know anymore. It used to be working, then spending time with my gf's thru the years, as well as fishing. As this progressed and I isolated myself, I now have neither. So very little makes me happy other than a false hope of getting well.

Number One is Little Man, my Maine Coon cat. When he looks at me with that unconditional love and adoration, my heart melts. He loves it when I sing to him, and we have luvy time and playtime everyday.

Writing THE END.

Watching a really good movie that surprises me and makes me think.

That sweet spot. The one right in the middle between depression and mania that makes me feel stablized and almost normal.

Making artwork.

Jeff Dunbar and his puppets. Cracks me up no matter how many times I've seen it. "I keel you, infidel!"

Computer games.

That first cup of coffee and a smoke.

Pink snowballs.

My BFF.
