So sayeth the title. (health anxiety "attack", it's too hot and humid, I'm alone, it's late, crap sleep... that about sums it up) Man, I could do with a decent, real hug right about now. >.< But y'know, us "men" don't do that hugging thing... we get that weird hand shake and ALMOST hug, but pat on the shoulder. (partly joking, but that's often what it's like for me... tbf, I'm not especially into hugging, unless it's a partner in which case I dig it... just freaking the heck out atm)

Sorry for this 'o.O

Well, that's a bonus. Awesome lightening show right above us. Quite enjoyed that. Stood outside in the peeing rain, in my dressing gown. xD Probably looked a nut, but I don't care... it was just what I needed, although I'm still not feeling A-OK.

((((( Zwang )))))

In my high anxiety times, I have found that focusing on something completely out of myself worked best. For me: focusing on animals, nature, my surroundings, etc. That is what really works well.

Hope that gives you an idea or two....best wishes to you!

I'm not a "random" person -- reminds me of my boss at the Pentagon who made me make a mistake by distracting me back in the days before computers when typing was a typewriter and carbon paper and we weren't allowed to make mistakes (the letter was going to Congress) so had to type the dang thing perfectly. I ripped the mess out of the typewriter, balled it up and threw it at him (missed and it bounced off a doorjam and hit the "lead"/head secretary, fortunately someone my own age :-) and yelled at him to "quit yakking at me!" He replied as he was exiting rapidly "I'm not a yak!. . ."/"I'm a baby llama" -- and was gone out the door while I'm falling out of my chair groaning and laughing at the bad joke.

That hugging thing, can be done in a manly way, but involves the handshake, draw in, still holding handshake with, pat on back hug...

That was a random thought, from a random moment, of seeing, a random request, for a random distraction. ..

Help. I'm freaking out. COuld do with some random people to distract me. :|
