I have to get up at 7.20am for an 8 hour shift at work, aaaaand it's currently 4.33am... I don't enjoy this at all!
I do wish I could be one of those people who could just fall asleep within 5 minutes, I always find it so strange when friends are asleep so instantly, I guess since it's something I have never personally experienced. I wish I wouldn't think so much sometimes....
Hugs from:

Thanks for this!

I feel for you. I've had many a night, with both the can't fall asleep and/or the waking too early, and knowing myself, to try for the remaining couple of hours would result in over sleeping. Makes for a long, exhausting day. I find I do better, if I don't go to bed earlier than usual after waking as early.

Don't believe there's a cure. Just keep trying to find ways, to get into a better routine, if possible.

Hope you can relax and catch up on your sleep soon...I have been on a "cocktail" of Ambien, Traxadone, Benadryl, melatonin and valerian root for years...recently cut out the Trazadone and Benadryl, which really isn't helping along with anxiety issues. I slept way better when I depressed...

'Luckily' today was so dramatic that I didn't have time to be tired at work! ButI'm definitely stressed, and my legs hurt. I'm so glad I'm home now. The only thing I've found puts me to sleep is oxazepam, that stuff is definitely strong. Unfortunately so strong that even after 8 hours sleep on a 30mg dose I will turn off my alarm and fall back asleep and have no recollection of it occurring.

If you have problems falling asleep try thinking about 1 -3 good things that happened during your day. You should be able to come up with some things no matter how minor they may seem. When I can manage to do this I am usually asleep within 15 minutes.

I've tried everything, even buying a new bed, blankets and pillows and redoing my entire room. I've tried prescription medications, lavender, teas, focussing on one thing...
My mind just goes too much. I do suffer from insomnia. After the day I had today I'll be sleeping well tonight though, it will just be a matter of staying awake long enough that I go to bed and don't wake up at 2am.
