How do u put a schedule for the day together? I can make a do list ten mile long, but never accomplish one thing. What on a schedule? Eat, get up, watch tv???

Long lists are kind of overwhelming. Maybe picking no more than 3 things you want to accomplish that day.

Don't feel alone. I set an alarm to work on one task for 10 minutes and then move to another. I have ADHD and it works for me.

I keep a long running to do list, so I don't forget anything, eventually. Each day, I pick something off of it (or even a few thing off of it) to fit in between listing first the stuff I have to do do such as marking down things like appointments, obligations, and now work, first, then filling in what I just what feel like doing, can get done, and fit the rest in as I can. Or then there the days that feel like doing absolutely nothing but loafing when I wake up, sometimes I "schedule" that too for that day if don't have to be anywhere else.

sprik, I like your avatar pic
Hmm. I wish I had a good answer for your question. I either keep in mind what I need to do, or I make a list. Then I just do it. Just as I would be on time for work and do my job...I do the same thing at home. |

The schedule is not the problem.

For me it's not so much about making the list, as it is about following it. I literally have to follow it in order, or I'll forget something(s) or do them poorly because of distraction. I too, have ADD.
