Next month I'm planning on buying some seeds to grow Chili Peppers, Habanero Peppers, and Jalapeno Peppers. Does anyone else here grow stuff? Flowers, plants, vegetables?

Hi Bluebird.
Yes, I'm an avid gardener of mostly ornamental and tropical plants in my beautiful courtyard garden. I do a little bit of herb and summer vegetable growing. A few tips for raising edible plants from seeds....I usually strike my seeds in small covered trays, then transfer them to a 'raised' garden bed or box when they become seedlings. It is important to refer to the directions about how much sun and water is required especially when they are young. Referring to your local nursery about controlling pests is always a good idea.

Happy Gardening...and eating. Q.L

I love flowers. I grow some flowers, ferns, and I also have an ivy plant, my mother-in-law gave me a little sprig of ivy many years ago & it has flourished into a lovely plant. One funny plant I have is a cactus. A long time ago my sister gave me a cactus that was about an inch high. That thing has grown and it's this wild-looking "beast" of a cactus with arms going out all over the place.

I'm a veggie gardener. I have habanero and jalapeno plants in my garden now. Yum. And of course lots of other stuff, though the summer here has definitely ended recently. We've had the most amazing heat and light that I have ever seen here in 30+ years.
