Sometimes, we say to ourselves, "Do You Remember When?" I thought about this the other day, and it was a nice thought. From this, i mean when we were in grade school, and our gym teachers had us do different fitness exercises, and learn about health. This idea never gets old, and it can stay with us for years to come.

I remember the good o' days in school when we didn't have as much technology influencing our education T_T. There's this website called CANVAS used by my school, for example, and us students do half of our work posted there by the teachers. I know we're trying to be eco-friendly (and there are a$$holes who don't know how to recycle), but I don't want to have homework on a computer 'cause I tend to forget important tasks... a lot 0_0 Teacher, just print me a damn paper and I'll do the work from a textbook = 3= This just became a rant!

with stairs only to the lower level? And a Woolworth's 'variety store' with a cafe?

Traveling west back toward Eden (interestingly the wise men in the Gospel account of Jesus' birth came from the East), has been full of confrontation with the trials and tribulations of living outside the Garden. She is an artist without doubt disappointed that paradise was not as close in 1969 as she and so many others hoped it was. Her work is now filled with the reality of humanity's failure to achieve the prophetic dream of her song, but never without the hope that that day will yet come. |

Cigarettes were 40 cents a pack and you could smoke in the grocery store, on the bus, and even in restaurants & hospitals.

when the television channels only broadcasted till a few hours past midnight. Then they would say. "This is the end of our broadcast day." Then they would play the national anthem while showing video of a battleship sailing on the sea. Then some weird graphic would come on the screen, and that would be it for a few hours.
Fox is doing kind of a revival where they play the national anthem, even though they broadcast continuously 24/7. Their viewership tends to be older, so they are appealing to our nostalgia for the good old 50s. (Back when America didn't have any real problems, or so some tend to think.) (Sorry . . . didn't mean to politicize this.) |

I also remember how long summers seemed to be when I was in elementary school. Just sit and let the long days pass. |

Ooh Woolworths. They were the only big store in the small town, near where our summer cottage was. So it was a really big treat for me to go there with my Mom, when I was a little kid. I remember saving up my allowance to buy their powder blue eyeshadow (hey it was the 70's).

When a happy person was considered healthy, and happiness was congratulated, not shunned and denied by those who simply don't acquire it by the same means as you.
I swear this was less than a decade ago. I don't know what happened to everyone...
