Meaning, of course, when you are in a good place and do stuff FOR fun ...

I think it has been a while since I did some of these things but I'm unsleepy and started thinking about this randomly ...

Me:

Going out for dinner, wine, cocktails ... wine and tapas have been a favourite over the summer. Not so much clubbing anymore ... Just time with friends over food and stuff :>

Beaching and swimming - we have gorgeous beaches here in NZ and no one is more than two-three hours from the coastline.

Art galleries - whereever I go I must go to a gallery when travelling.

A trashy novel in the sun.

You?

What do you do for FUN?

Walking the lake with my baby ZULU - my pitbull.

Taking my nieces and nephews to the park - I love to see them smile.

Sitting on the beach at sun set with my husband - then walking along the shore line.

Playing Paintball with the family & guys.... it is an awesome feeling to take out one of the guys.

Going to the movies, eating out at a nice restaurant, eating ice-cream while walking in the old part of town.

I bike for fun, and read newspapers online. The biking thing has gotten a little out of hand... Last summer I biked 50 miles a day. This winter it's been 25 miles a day, because I'm working more hours and volunteering and my son is in three orchestras, and... I'm biking indoors now (I get these bugged-out eyes looking at me when I say I bike 25 miles a day, until I tell them I do it on a trainer in my kitchen). I don't like biking in snow or heavy rain, although drizzle is ok.

Fun is good, and I'll do anything other than clean house or cook.

I like going out to eat, especially for breakfast, my favorite meal. I especially like being out with friends.

I like when we go camping and are sitting at the picnic table and reading together, my husband and me. Or reading a good novel in bed before I got to sleep with my balcony door open (almost like camping :-)

I like working on a project on my computer, my genealogy or writing a paper or something for a class.

I like sitting on my deck watching the birds and boats go by, thinking about fishing off the dock or going for a boat ride (but those things are often too much "trouble" so I enjoy thinking about them more :-) chatting with my neighbors if they're outside too, cooking on the grill, etc.

I like going on long drives through small towns and thinking about history and what it might be like to live there, etc.
