Dear friend of Lise
My name is George De Villiers, father of Lise. I am aware of the correspondence which she had with you and wish to give you the tragic news that she passed away on 29 Aug 2014. My wife (mother of Lise) died of cancer on 11 Aug 2014. Lise recovered completely from experimental medication a month or two before her mother passed away, and she fully committed herself to looking after her mother until she died. She confirmed to me, her father, that she would look after me during the coming months and I looked forward to that period with her. On 29 Aug 2014 se went to a steakhouse and choked on a piece of meat, could not be brought around and died. The way I see it, God wanted my wife to have company and did so by taking Lise away on my wife's birthday (29 Aug). Having lost both now, my house is very empty. I am well supported by the community and try to live in their honnor. Thank you for your friendship of Lise over an extended time and look after yourself. Kind Regards George J De Villiers |

She had such a lovely spirit, and was such a dear and devoted friend. She will be missed more than I can say. I am trying to take comfort in that she and her mother are together again, and pray they are resting in peace.

I'm so very sorry, George. That is dreadful news indeed.
Please know that we at PC are so very proud of Lise for having achieved that level of control over her medication needs in the last few months. It is difficult at the best of times. That she was able to do it and be a rock for her mother all at the same time is phenomenal indeed. Our hearts go out to you. Please feel free to keep visiting PC whenever you choose. It can be a useful thing to have kind ears available 24-hours a day, especially when things are this painful. We are not a substitution for any professional help, but many of us have experienced pain and loss and would like to be supportive to anyone else in need. May your Lise rest in peace with her mother. |

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have not had the honour of knowing her on this forum but I am deeply saddened by her passing nonetheless. Please take care of yourself in this difficult time. All my condolences!!

Very saddened to hear the news of the premature loss of Elijay (and your wife)
. I am sending you all the positive and happy energy to help with the grieving process. I will miss Elijay's posts on the PC forums. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing her but all the same i'm very sorry for both your losses - it must be very difficult
