I'm not sure where the Success stories category is so I'll just post here.

I woke up this morning and was sitting down on my phone thinking. I suddenly realized that I have respect for myself. Maybe not fully but waaayyyyy more than I ever did.
I wrote this down in my notes:

Btw I have more respect for myself. I no longer want to give myself up to any guy that offers sex because I am more than that. (p.s. I didn't do this I just had a want because I felt horrible about myself) I also don't wanna put myself through torture just because anymore. I think it's a big improvement for me. I care for myself. I no longer want to throw myself away so easily.

I think others respect me now because I respect who I am so I teach them what they can and can't treat me like. I have set those rules.

I feel more confident. I feel like I should say what I wanna say with no regrets. I feel like my thoughts are worth it. I don't feel AS uncertain, doubtful, ashamed, insecure, unstable like I used to. I am not sure what it is, God? I hope so. But I am so glad. Very glad I achieved this point of my life.

____________________________________

So yeah that is how I feel. I did not know I could feel so good in life. I feel worthy of people's love. I also remember a quote that I saw yesterday, "We're all human. We're all equal."
And I love that. I forget that even through all the differences, we are human beings. So that I should not be so intimidated of other humans. I should believe that I am just as equal as someone else. I believ(ed) that there are people who are more important than I am and that I won't be at that class level. But everyone is human. I deserve someone's love.

Another thing I wrote down was a reply to one of my posts on here. It was a post about holding onto your stress and fears and worries:

I think it's to have confidence in yourself. If you have confidence in what you look like, what your thoughts are, how you feel about yourself, that will change everything. If you have confidence you are less worried about things, you don't let your past touch you, you don't let things hurt you anymore because you want to focus on more important things in your life. You know that you deserve a great life so you put away your fears and worries because THOSE are what limits you and puts you inside of a box. Love who you are and everything will change.

Thank you Kaliope I'm very happy. I wish I could stay like this 24/7. I hope with lots of practice and stopping the habits of self-hate will help.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
