Hello everyone! And Happy All Hallow's Eve (aka Halloween) to all of you! I'm so excited for today! This is probably one of my absolute favorite holidays. And no, it isn't because of candy, the receiving or the giving. It's because of all the cool costumes and the horror films and the cuddling and snuggling with friends and/or crushes that comes with horror films!
But, sadly, horror films have to wait, for me, because I have been working the haunted house upstairs in my building for the past week now! And tonight is our super uber busy night! I helped with some of the decor upstairs and now I'm helping with ticket sales. It's a good time.

Anyway, so that's my Halloween, anyone else doing anything fun tonight?
Hugs from:

That does sound like fun! I stayed at home and passed out candy to the little ballerinas, princesses, pirates, etc. They are so cute. And most all of them say, "Thank you," which is nice. I passed out almost all our candy, but left a bit back for hubby and me. I like the peanut m&m's and twix bars.

By the way, I dressed as a cat!

About 30 years ago I would go dressed as a Chippendale man, if I did that now I would be arrested for grossly indecent exposure.

We don't get any kids where we live now.

I live in an apartment building and kids are not allowed to go trick or treating. Instead there's a party in the rec room. I think it's a shame so many kids now will never experience the fun and exercise that comes with a real Halloween. Going door to door and getting great responses to your costume has got to be more fun than parading in a circle. I understand it but still...

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe All Hallow's Eve.

Happy All Hallow's Eve~

We dressed up at work in costume during the day and had a potluck lunch. That evening, unfortunately, there were no trick-or-treaters, but enjoyed some movies, decor of pumpkins, lights dimmed, and candles lit throughout the house with family; I picked up take out on the way home and it was nice not to cook. It was a lovely relaxing eve at home.

One of my favorite holidays too, FightingTheStorm! We should recognize Halloween at least twice a year and some people love to experience it in some way on a daily basis. I wish I could. But I guess it's even more special because it only comes around once a year.

In a way it could be celebrated twice a year, originally it was a fall equinox. So you could celebrate spring too, or go for broke and celebrate all four.

Thankfully, no- one came to my door. Halloween is such a stupid commercially driven American thing. Bad enough we have Guy Fawkes this week with fireworks all about. There is also the Melbourne Cup....now that is worth the country stopping forHappy All Hallow's Eve~
