that's my question

do you take things easier on sunday than any other day of the week?

since sunday is thought of to some as a lazy day, or to some the sabatbh even

sunday is just another day here

like any other day of the week

I'm something of a workaholic. I try to take Saturdays off, though.

Sunday is laundry day so I'm plugging away at the week's laundry all day Sunday. Sometimes it's also grocery shopping day, dog washing day ... stuff like that.

You know I do take it easier on Sunday, even though, now that I have quit work it's not like I need Sunday to be a resting day but I do seem to stay with that schedule. I just don't plan things on Sundays.

Yes, I just chill on Sundays. No appointments or anything like that and schoolwork is caught up by then so I have the whole day to myself.

I sleep as late as I possibly can. Then I have to do laundry. The family normally make a mess in the kitchen making breakfast which I have to clean up. We occasionally have people over for lunch and I would have to clean that up as well. I like to read my two favourite gossip magazines every Sunday afternoon

Sunday is like the start of the week for me. I do laundry and clean and get things done on Sunday so I don't have to on Monday. Saturday is a lazier day.

With my schedule for the time being at work being M-F, by Saturday, this is my day to chill and recover; depending on the week, Sunday either continues to be a chill day or becomes my day to get some things done around the house. This will be changing though when my schedule changes becoming a work day. My grandparents would not be happy though if they were with us as Sunday is supposed to be a day a rest and of no work.

When I was deeply involved with my engineering career (& avoiding my marriage), I would go to church in the morning & head on into work for the rest of the day (anything to NOT be at home).

Not working, I do things when I start doing them. Sunday's are always church day above everything else that might be going on.....but when I get home, & if I feel inspired to do some work around the house I do it. Last Sunday, I finished mashing up my Cushaw squash & made 2 Cushaw pies (better than pumpkin) & took one of my pies over to a friend's house to share when I finally got them finished. Got a load of laundry put into the wash..... I still have to dump it into the dryer....LOL.....I really do get around to doing things when I get around to it.....but my house looks like it also especially with 3 dogs. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed....but it just means that I work at the mess constantly until it will finally get to be clean enough to be acceptable for me to allow anyone into the house.

There are some Sundays when I don't do anything....may work on my crafts or sit & read all day.....but that's how my life goes every day....& even though I go to church on Sunday, I always spend every day reading the Bible or working on a Bible study & there are some days when I get so involved in that, it's all I do & I get no work done. I play every day by ear & just wing it. Absolutely NO organization in my life & no real schedules & even my dogs have to remind me that I haven't fed them at times or that they need water in their pan's.....but they are good at reminding me as Leo comes up & stands up to my lap & won't get down until I follow him to what he's in need of.......it's terrible being that disorganized that I need my dogs to organize my life & remind me when things need to be done. The other thing I love to do mostly on Sunday afternoons is sit down at my keyboard & play. I wish I was inspired to practice more but in reality....I don't have the time trying to fit in all the other things I am involved in.....but that's another one of my really relaxing things when I need to unwind.
