This may be silly to do but just thought I'd see what you guys think before I send this along to Subway.I love avocado's. Love the creamy taste of them. And I'm thinking that Subway should add avocado's to their list of items to put on a sandwich. I've been having a rather tastey sandwich the past couple nights. I bought a Roasted Chicken from the grocery , and sliced a couple slices of meat off there and put them on a piece of whole wheat bread. Sliced half an avocado and a couple slices of vine ripened tomato and a piece of swiss cheese... Talk about yummy. And as far as I can tell, pretty healthy too. And I think it would be good even without the chicken. If you want to do a veggie sandwich. What do you think?

I think it would be very yummy. I like their BMT or their seafood salad and think both of them could benefit from adding some avocado to it. They would have to figure out a way to keep them from turning brown quickly though. I guess they could keep them in a lemon juice concentrate.

I like avocados, but they're tremendously high-fat and not too much in line with Subway's corporate image -- plus, they would be hard to keep fresh. I mean, you can't just leave them sit all day like you can shredded lettuce or something.

But that doesn't stop you from buying your own to put on something from Subway!

Just have to say I love Subway - I eat at the one close to me, often enough that they ask me which of my two subs I'm going to have LOL.

I love avocado and love it in sandwiches, but I don't think it would be practical for Subway as it does turn brown pretty quickly, and it doesn't last all that long.

I eat subway at least 3x a week for "lunch."

I doubt they can add avocado. It requires too much tlc. If they did, they would have to time the use just right or they would have to give us not-quite-ripe slices. It turns brown too, if cut and left. Nope, just don't see how they could do that. (Maybe they could begin using those green bags???)

Avocado is such a good, healthy fat! Perfect food almost. A little lemon and I can almost "taste" it. LOLOL Do they have guacamole dip or dressing with the wrap???

Yes, avocado is the healthy fat and is actually recommended at about half an avocado a day by the Heart Association. It is great on salads, in sandwiches, as a sandwich spread instead of margarine or butter, and with crackers as an appetizer dip or spread (guacamole). I have high cholesterol and it is recommended for me daily.
