does anyone else find that they can never have too much of certain things. after coming home from a trip to the dollar store today i find that i bought some items i definitely do not need. but it's like i'm afraid if i ever got stranded or all the stores ran out of everything, i would have to have a stockpile of these particular things, ridiculous though it might be. here is a list of what they are, and why i can never have too many:

white socks. because i never go barefoot ever except in the shower. i can't stand how my feet feel bare.

scrunchies. because i can't stand my long hair in my face and it is the most comfortable way to hold my hair back. i like the cheap dollar store ones the best because they stretch the most. i don't know what i think is going to happen to all the ones i already have, but i just can't walk by a good scrunchie for a dollar... and then i usually get one for my daughter too..

chocolate. no explanation needed.

so these are the things i waste money on for the sake of my mental health ha ha. i wondered if others may have similar things that help their mental peace

Doesn't matter how many hair ties / clips I buy all the time ... they just disappear haha

I'm forever just stocking up on them.

There isn't anything I buy alot of at once anymore. Several years ago there was speciality chili pepper place across town that sold alot of amazing salas, and I always bought like a dozen at a time. Sadly, they went out of business.

I have about 100 of these, each from a different city or brewery, mostly from West Germany (remember that country?) as well as throughout western Europe, Great Britain and Ireland. They're small ... the tallest maybe 3" and as such were easy to carry around while playing tourist. I spent most of the 1980s stationed there.

I like those mugs.

Lately for me it is socks. I like socks with designs on them pretty much obsessed. I don't need them. I already have a garbage bag full.

I used to collect bouncy balls! It was my Mom's thing and then she let me have her collection. I don't know what happened to it when I moved out but now I just collect books and furrybones figures. Furrybones are so cute~ I love them. This one is a unicorn a friend bought me.

As a teenager I would collect straws from gas stations. When I moved into my first apartment I had a drawer in my kitchen dedicated to them. After having kids I felt terrible for grabbing a handful of straws so I had to stop that habit.

I collect VHS's.

But my pride and joy is Super Ninetado... Still looking for Donkey Kong
