A good day on Tuesday!

Yesterday was a beautiful day, weather was just perfect. I went to my son's school for his Chapel Day! Chapel day is where seniors can talk about anything and everything. My son had over three hundred hugs from students and faculty. He shared his memories of his life. There was not a dry eye in the Chapel. He talked about the abuse that his father did to me. He talked about his sister's suicide attempts and how happy he was that she is alive and doing well.He talked about his Grandma and his love for her, but knows now that he may soon have to let her go, he does not want to see her suffer with illness any longer. He talked about how I have gone without heat and hot water. He talked about the others that live inside of me. He said that he is the man he is because of my strong beliefs and leadership to family and friends. And that I was both mother and father. He spoke about his girlfriend Camille who he says is the love of his life. Camille's dad and I sat next to each other crying of the man that Brandon had become. He is proud to be able to call my son his own. Brandon spoke with such intelligence, he was posed, confident and loving. I am proud to be his mother. The entire shool has been enriched by his being there. Graduation is in a couple of weeks. Once again I will take my place in the sea of parents, glowing with pride of the man he has become.
