When I was in the ER yesterday I was so dehydrated that they had to hook up IVs and give me bags of ringers. Well, when the first bag was done, they let me try to well...see if I could pee. LOL On Me At The Hospital

Anyway, I was trying to hold my gown to keep what little dignity I had left, and hold the IV bag and all the tubing. They also had taped an oxygen monitor to my finger so I had that dangling.

So I went to the bathroom and Miss Germaphobe proceeded to drop the emtpy IV bag and all the tubing on the nasty bathroom floor. When I tried to catch it all, I got the oxygen monitor on the commode! LOL On Me At The Hospital Then I couldn't get the toilet paper thingie to work and dropped everything on the floor again!

I can't stand to touch my own bathroom floor much less that of the a hospital!

I came straggling out of the bathroom trying to hold everything away from me, but still hold my gown shut! My poor nurse had to clean all the tubing. We couldn't change the IV because I was so dehydrated we couldn't get another IV port going and they had to give me a new Oxygen monitor!

They sent my friend Tammy with me when I had to go to the restroom after that. I had no dignity left, but no tubing hit the floor!

LOL On Me At The Hospital LOL On Me At The Hospital

Yes, Admin do pee! LOL On Me At The Hospital Amazing isn't it!!!! LOL On Me At The Hospital LOL On Me At The Hospital

(((((((( Pet & Be ))))))))))))

I was so sick and when I dropped that stuff on the floor I was just horrified. Touching the commode was the last straw.

I am still sick today but definately feeling better. I'm being very careful to take my meds and drink the right kind of fluids. I found out that soda and tea are not good for you if you're dehydrated because of the caffiene. I've been drinking Propel water today. I said I couldn't afford it but I was very wrong!

I managed a shower today and changed the sheets on the bed. Hurray! I'm so glad that I hadn't turned into a lazy, messy person. I have been too tired to clean the apartment right for weeks now. I'm so relieved. I don't want to be a sloth.

Hugs,

Jan

Oh dear - how horrible! It is very refreshing that you are able to take an experience like this (I would not have coped well at all) and find the humour in it.

Hope you are feeling better really soon!

It wasn't funny at the moment. It wasn't funny until yesterday. I have problems carrying my own trash out, much less touching a commode or dropping my tubing on the floor! LOL On Me At The Hospital

Hugs,

Jan

Oh Bethy!

I know! It's awful! I had to do it before and I was like, "You want me to do what in that?" LOL On Me At The Hospital

I'm so sorry you went through that. It sure doesn't leave you any dignity at all, does it?

Hugs,

Jan
