Are any of you members of Mensa? What's it like? Do you enjoy the meetings/other benefits?

I joined before Al Gore invented the internet. I rejoined when i had a rather clumsy blackberry / word / treo so looking at online was slow and frustrating for me. They are still having monthly get togethers (at minimum) in my area, and the online stuff really does look pretty good. Its not free but you can join for life at a pretty good price.

Didn't care for it... though I didn't take time to really get to know many people, it was because the group I visited were so arrogant and full of themselves, touting what they knew and thought that they didn't listen to anyone else (more like a roomful of narcissists I guess) that I never went back.

I've heard there are some good groups though.

They are like any meetup. They would have a speaker. Back then we played board and card games online there are special interest groups about lots of science and future stuff. It is also future scientist (child) oriented. They have national gatherings also, i went to nyc one year and saw albert ellis and isaac asimov speak - priceless!
