If you had a chance, to restart your entire life, Replacing your current life with a better one, would you take it?
things you might want to consider is, when you are reborn, you will have no memory of this life. You will lose everything and everyone. Your friends, family, acquaintances and whatnot will forget about you, like you were never even born. Would you give up everything for a better life?

Me? Certainly not.
Why? because even if i do have to suffer from a lot of crippling mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia etc. i love my family, my friends (the few that i have) my 2 brothers, my grandma & grandpa and so on.
i love them all very dearly, and i would not. for anything want to 1) forget them, having absolutely 0 memory of them. 2) they having 0 memory of me.
also, who would want to forget about all of you guys!!! the friends and people i have met here on PsychCentral all have special places in my heart, even if i don't know them face to face.

No, I would not, but for different reasons. I have had a difficult life and am quite glad it's nearly over. I'm more interested in what I do with the time I have left and what on the other side than having another run at this life.

Another life would not be a better one unless I magically retained all the wisdom I gained by suffering in this one. I am a different person than I was 40 years ago. I would not give up that and start out all over again without the wisdom I have gained because I would probably make just as many errors, maybe more.

If I could remember all the mistakes I made and make changes I would want to start over, but if I had to go through all the same stuff, no way would I want to go through it again.

While there have been things that happened in my life I would not wish on anyone else I would not want to start over again. I like the person I've become. I would not want to give that up.

I feel sad even thinking about this because sure I want heaps of things to not have happened that have happened throughout the course of my life.

If I could have had things a bit easier. My answer is yes.

What's the definition of "better" here?

A chance at a mental free life. (You will have a better life without all the stress and mental disorders or personality disorders ) sorry if I can't explain much, I am still tired. ._.

Yes, and I have. I've lived several lifetimes in this one. Every day, any moment, is an opportunity to start over, to live better.

Only if I get to take what I have learned in my life so far with me on my "do over" without it I would end up exactly where I'm at now.

Oh. Well considering I was sick from age 3.... and then disabled at age 34... YEAH I'd take a sickness-free life in a heartbeat! BUT I wouldn't want to have to relearn what I already know... keep that and add to it?

The answer to your question would be no, you would not start over with your wisdom. It would be a completely new fresh start.

I agree with JD.....I thought about it and asked what would be the definition of "better"? For me, I always struggle with the thought that things could have been "better" for me instead of just living in the moment. I'm either planning for the future or looking back with regret. What I probably need to do is appreciate what I have so the present actually is better than what I perceive it to be.

oh.

i'm really not sure

on 1 hand, i'm so tired of life and everything it throws at me, and i've all ready lost so much (family, friends, experiences, qualifications, good health) and the list goes on- and from that point of view, i wish life was over

but if i could restart life, and know that i'd have no memory of this one, wouldn't it be wonderful?. to do things this time round that i couldn't do now?. (either because of health or lack of support)

but then i'd probbaly screw up again

so i don't know

maybe i'd take it if i could make the rules. (which i know i can't). so maybe not

I wouldn't want to start over. The experiences I've had are what have helped shape me. Of course, if I could change a few things, I would. I lost a few folks way too soon, but other than that - no, I wouldn't want to change anything.

I wouldnt. Everything happens for a reason. Although it's been difficult, I've learned a lot about myself and others.
