I'm putting this in this forum, because I mostly just want to complain. I just got my first SSI check last month. Today I got a letter saying that Social Security needs to review my case to see if I can continue to receive SSI.

They have scheduled an appointment for me. At least it's a phone appointment. I was so annoyed when I read the letter that I tossed it onto the kitchen table and my cat jumped up and attacked it and ripped a big tear in it and left tooth marks. I said "Go, cat."

I am so annoyed that a therapist would probably say there's something else behind it.

Pfft.
Thanks for this!

Maybe they're missing financial paperwork or have a question? How long ago did you apply before being approved? Can be red tape haggling. They don't typically approve medically and place holds. That's typically if you've missed some interview deadline or missed a form.
Does the notice give any indication?
