This happened an year ago. I walk into the room where the psychiatrist is (what is it called?) and I sit opposite to him. Before I get to say anything:

Him(with a broad smile): Let me tell you what the problem is. You have OCD.
Me: wha...
Him: Now ask me what it means.
Me: But I don't wash my hands excessively or engage in rituals or stuff.
Him: .... How do you know about OCD?

after that he say much and just looked discontent for the rest of the appointment.
I don't know what made him think that. I was a little bit awkward and tense in the beginning but is that enough for a diagnosis?

Did he ask you any other questions or did he talk to a family member beforehand?

No he didn't. He just said it on our first meeting as if he was a sherlock holmes of psychiatry. After I explained enough about myself he just gave me some antidepressants instead.
