It sucks.

Haven't had one in over a year. I guess my luck was going to run out sooner or later.

I ride a motorcycle and in my city you don't have to pay for parking on the street (unless in an organized paid-parkade situation), but you do have to adhere to the posted parking regulations.

Near my workplace I would park on a side street in front of houses while the usual vehicle owners were out for the day. Never got a ticket once.

Today, probably because there's construction a couple blocks away and the Parking Enforcement is on the prowl to catch violators, i got busted LITERALLY THE MINUTE I WALKED AWAY. I know this, because I clocked into work at 9:21am and my ticket is listed as 9:19am.

Well **** and crap.
The sign says "1Hr Parking, Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm". It's Saturday. I guess that means no parking at all??

Like I said, my luck ran out and I got busted. I can't really say I didn't deserve it, but it is frustrating to happen on a month so financially-tight already!

Huh, in my city that sign would mean that you could park for as long as you wanted on a Saturday. Is it possible it was a mistake? It might be worth calling to find out?

I agree with hvert - your ticket sounds like a mistake. I'm pretty sure you can print out a page to fill out to contest your ticket (you send it in to your local traffic court).

Yep, I've had them change the signs/rules on me too. Just trying to go about my "routine" day and hitting my favorite known parking spot. Luckily ours are only $25, how far did you get setback?
