Sometimes it's the little things that make your day.

For example

I called my work today about their policy on hair color. My work allows me to color my hair any color I'd like! This makes me soooo happy because all the other jobs I worked at said they only allow natural hair color. Tomorrow my mom is coloring blue streaks into my hair. I'm soooooooo excited to finally express myself! And while I was talking to them about the hair color, I heard my manager ask in the background if I could come in and I happily agreeed...it's another $47 in my pocket!

What little thing makes or has made your day better?
Thanks for this!

We have a huge parking lot for work that this long, going away from the building, hundreds upon hundreds of cars. Because I have been 2nd shift lately I am at the very back where there are no lights, so dark when I leave, and it is not even the paved section that it is so full by the tree line when I get there; it creeps me out to walk out when I leave and can never find security to walk me out.

It rained Wednesday-Friday at then end of this week to top it off, no big deal but the highlight of my day was getting front spaces all three days in the blustering, pouring rain weather to go in for such a short trip in the rain and to walk back out at night under the lights when I left too in the rain. Seems like such a little thing getting front parking spaces but was such a nice treat, actually put a smile on my face going in and out, and bounce in my step.

I got a phonecall (and a bunch of texts) from one of my friends that I haven't seen in over a month, which was really, really nice by itself. And the icing on the cake was going on a little spontaneous movie date, and jamming to songs in her car.

It was completely unexpected, and so simple, but definitely meant a lot to me and made me quite happy.

Also, usually I have the opportunity to watch the sun rise most mornings, while sipping coffee, which is something that never gets old.
Thanks for this!
