Ice if I had to choose but neither tbh. Ice reminds me off the cold. I hate the cold and sand makes my skin crawl...no matter how well you rince the bloody stuff off there's always more!

what a tough question. in terms of extreme climate, both would be terrible. i live in the desert; we get sand storms. the stuff goes in your eyes and your mouth, your hair... eugh. right now it's 40f and we have a freeze watch because of the wind. ...man. again, in terms of extreme climate i'd choose neither. yet everyone has said if the ice was in a cup and the sand was on the beach, that's how they'd prefer it. dunno, your question illegal toilet, isn't specific enough for me to formulate an answer.

I've gotta go with ice. Sand makes me think of the sun and sunlight is my pale Irish skins worst enemy.

Well, I wouldn't like a sandstorm, but I love the sand on the beach. I prefer cooler weather, but ice seems dangerous to me.
