Rocky Horror will celebrate it's 40th anniversary this weekend. Been a long time since I've been to a midnight showing. This old fart is usually in bed sawing logs by midnight on Saturdays now. But boy howdy did I enjoy going in the past. NPR had a story about it today. Oh to have seen Tim Curry preform live on stage....

I thought you meant the show itself was "usually in bed sawing logs by midnight on Saturdays" and I kept wondering how that was possible. Would the stage and all the props go to bed, or just the script?
It was a fun little five minutes until I realized you were probably referring to yourself. If a show slept it wouldn't be a show because there would be nothing to show.

MiddayNap, yep, I was referring to myself.

hmmmm, I wonder what the reaction would be from others is an old fart like me showed up for the movie?????

Bluekoi, someone gave me the movie on DVD a couple of years ago. I haven't watched it because I wasn't sure how it would come off on the little screen. You've inspired me to watch it tomorrow night.

I saw a lot of midnight movies at the River Oaks Theater. Most of the movies I saw there I'd never even heard of
Rocky Horror kind of changed everything there. It became the only midnight movie. It was a Saturday Night ritual for a lot of kids. Most would be in costume and I'm sure it would take hours to clean up all the rice
Thanks for this!

If I recall correctly, you're just a few years older than I am. There are lots of people our age who go to RHPS! The younger generations didn't/don't have the real Rocky Horror experience quite like we did
