Well, the season has started. I managed to suck in my anxiety and go to the sale at the big convention centre (whew). So much to see.

I love to see the pottery and woolen/knitted crafts. Oh and the fudges and preserves are always good too.

Do you go to arts and crafts fairs? Do you treat yourself to something new or shop for gifts for others? What do you hope to see?

Thanks for this!

I haven't gone for many years. When I was married, my husband and I attended the fair. I loved to see the pottery and the jewelry. I always treated myself to fudge, if nothing else!

I deeply appreciate handcrafted items. I do a fair amount of shopping on etsy, and used to run my own etsy shop. I do go to craft fairs now and then...I would go to more if I had more money to spend.

I always see so much that I want that can't ever make a decision on what to buy. But enjoy looking at all the fabulous things people make.

I went with a small budget. Unfortunately most artisans now take creditcard payment. I overspent and now have some buyers remorse. However I got some really great gifts and had my eyes out for some reasonably priced products. It was a really good day. Of course busy and crowded. I had to cling to my step-mom the whole day. But I dd it!

I just went to one. It was a delight to see all the creativity and innovative ideas. I was particular thrilled about one product I actually got for myself, as I found some items for Christmas presents and stocking stuffers. It has made a world of difference for me. So much so I contacted the knitter and asked to order another pair.

She was delighted that even remembered as she said, so many people take their cards but nothing ever comes of it. I have heard that a lot from some of the other vendors at many fairs as they roll their eyes at times, when you take a card instead of buying something. I may not need it now but I try to keep some of the delectables and artisans in mind throughout the year for gifts or personal items as they don't just sell at the fairs.

There was a particular instance of a man that made the most amazing salsas. I took his card as I was pretty well stocked at the time, a staple in my house , and when got low a month or so later, contacted him and placed an order. He was surprised, pleasantly so, but that is a shame that some people think they can only get the products the fairs.
