I can tell it's close to that time of the year again, my mailbox is loaded with pre-approved credit card notices and applications!

Of which each and everyone of them is getting ripped, crushed, and shredded up promptly.

I already have 2 too many maxed out cards I'm paying on....like I need more.

I'm usually in the spirit, but this year I only see commercialism everywhere. So sad.

Ya, I was surprised to see Christmas Aisles in stores weeks before Halloween.

id LOVE a credit card but im under a court appointed appointee who acts as me on my behalf,i cant get access to my bank account i cant even know how much ive got.
i know if i got a credit card id spend it on everything ive wanted for a while like a new fish tank, new clothes, and a name change and private gender identity clinic treatment.
id end up in financial trouble,so in that sense im glad i dont have a card but i wish i had the freedom to say i decline one or not.

I wish I could get my almost-exH under that kind of control. Adult protective services said that as long as he can make decisions whether good or bad it's his problem & disability didn't respond when I requested that they assign him a payee. He was living on paying his bills with the overdraft charges in his bank account & had accumulated over $1100 in overdraft charges in less than 6 months when I closed the joint account after finding out what he had been doing & after I got finished cleaning up the mess he made with the IRS.

I don't believe in spending money I don't have & I save up for everything before I spend it unless it's an emergency.....then I make arrangements to pay on time without interest & always get it paid long before the time it's due.

I don't spend money on Christmas that I don't have either & many times I make gifts that are personal & much better than anything I could buy anyway. I have a serious problem with the commercialism that has been adopted to the celebration of Christmas anyway so I refuse to go along with that aspect of Christmas anyway so Christmas doesn't affect me in a financial way.
