Thanksgiving was quite memerable this year. The hot water heater broke sometime during the night before and we had no choice but to rush out to the grocery store and buy some pizza to pop in the oven, also, Mom dug up some spinach lasagne from the freezer and we had that too.

However, my favorite dish, whipped cherry salad, was served, along with a conventional salad of leafy greans and other things mixed in. So all and all it wasn't the most traditional meal, but it was awesome all the same.

I couldn't help but think of my sis in law who is a nutritionist and a classically trained gourmet chef would not have been pleased at the circumstances, but she wasn't here so its all good.

Best Thanksgiving years and years ago. My mom, a nurse, worked nights, and so while she was sleeping, my sisters, brother and I made the big dinner.

Butterball was good. Store bought pies were good. What we laugh about was the 4 or so boxes of Stove Top stuffing we made.

My cousin still raves about it being the best memory yet...Stove Top? Bleechh...LOL

Wow the faucet on my sink broke off and sprayed half the kitchen when I was cleaning up the dinner mess... lol Kind of glad to hear someone else also went thru some chaos.
