I took the trash up this morning to find my flag gone from my flag pole. From the looks of the foot prints in the snow, it was several someones. It is upsetting because friends put it up for me in honor of my family that served; I have plaque at the base in honor of them.

The question is, would you report it?
The next question, what would you do about replacing it?

Having a pole with no flag seems ridiculous but I am afraid this will become an issue if I replace to be taken again. It is not as though it is expensive but it is the act and disrespect of taking it that bothers me more. Perhaps I should look into cameras to catch them should they come back, are they expensive? Should I let it go and just replace it, let it be, and that if they need flags that badly, just let them have them?

What would you do?

Well it's horrible that someone took your flag.

I would get a replacement flag and a web cam, along with a sign at the bottom of the flagpole stating that it's under video surveillance.

I might wait a week or so & see if anything comes from this, like someone being nice & taking it down in the snow storm or someone confessing to taking it.

But the I would definitely replace it & I think the surveillance camera & posting a warning is a wonderful idea.

This is America & its is our right to proudly fly our flag & I wouldn't allow anything to stop you from doing that.

That just sucks. Some people amaze me sometimes and not in a good way. I'm sorry this happened!
