Several weeks ago we "adopted" my kids pet guinea pig from their foster home. The foster mother said they didn't take care of care it. My husband was grumbling and growling the whole way home saying "I hate animals in my house" and "Why the he__ are we taking a "rat" to our house". Well, here I sit a few weeks later watching this 55 year old "rat" hater, on his hands and knees next to the guinea pig cage uttering "Good morning son, are ya coming out this morning to say hi to our Dad".
What a guy

LOL.....I know just what you are talking about!!
Several years ago, my daughter was in between her own home and needed someone to look after her snake. I said I would be happy to. I love snakes. My hubby at the time grumbled just like yours, but before I knew it, he was taking the snake out of her cage and holding it, playing with it and loving every minute with it. Heaven forbid a man show his compassion without having it forced down their throats...LOL Hugsssss J |

If he grumbles again, tell him he should be glad my granddaughter doesn't live with him. She's 7 and ownes 15 of the little critters! She cares for them herself, too. Shows them and breeds them. Would you believe the babies come out fully furred and walking... er... running around??  They're really amazing!!
