Time to relive childhood.
I love this segment. I lip-sync to it. Sesame Street

Does anyone remember those puppets that only said yup or yep - they were like socks with big mouths and antennae? What are they called? I'd love to find a segment with them.

When I was 5, I was in love with Bob, but I haven't seen him in the last 30-odd years, so I dunno anymore Sesame Street.

I've always been partial to Oscar and Cookie Monster. (No comments from the peanut gallery! Sesame Street)

When I was little I was called Cookie Monster because I liked cookies so much. In fact when I graduated from high school a former neighbor of mine made me a scrapbook with all cookie monster pictures cut out of coloring books.

i think you can tell the kids who were raised on sesame street 'cause they are the ones who say 'zee' rather than 'zed'. i was raised on sesame street... 'zee' is better 'cause it rhymes when you are singing the alphabet song!

Sesame Street was my son's favorite as well as Mr. Rogers Neighborhood and Electric Company and You Can't Do That on Television.

I still will stop on Sesame Street when I'm flipping through channels. It is so sweet. The kids they have on there are so sweet.

A favorite Christmas ritural for me is watching an old tape I made of Christmas Eve on Sesame Street and it has an adorable segement where Grover asks kids, individually, how Santa gets in. Very creative replies from the sweet little preschoolers!

Hi WinterRose,

What a cute topic. Sesame Street was my favorite babysitter. I think I liked Slimy (Oscar’s Worm.) But to tell you the truth I loved all of those little commercials the best...like the one with the talking and rolling typewriter and the little cup guy who scoots around the kitchen.

Oh and your antennae guys were called “The Yip Yips.” If I’m thinking of the right ones... they would say “Yip-yip-yip-yip... Uh-huh-Uh-huh” and bounce around investigating objects they weren’t sure about and then they’d get scared and cover their whole face with their bottom lip. So cute...*lol*

~ Bee

P.S. I don't know how you all get those photos onto your messages. But there’s a Yip Yip picture attached here.
