So I turned on my laptop today with the Win10 SOD. I did some fiddling around and restored from a backup, but the backup was the factory settings. So now I'm on Win8 and preparing to install Win10 again. Oh the joys of computers.

I refuse to go to 10 yet.. All my Techie friends said to hold out until more of the bugs and whatnot are fixed.

I would concur with that, Christina.
I have a friend who went to 10 successfully and my girlfriend went to 10 successfully. However, I've also heard and read a great many complaints over the interwebs, so I would stick with Windows 7 or 8.1 until they sort it out. I think Windows 10 is probably a lot better than it was, now, but I still personally wouldn't rush out to get it. Windows 8.1 or even 7 seems fine enough. If it ain't broke... I've actually not long come across a nice Windows 7 laptop somebody chucked away because the Windows 10 installation went awry. ¬_¬
