When I was about 21, my parents dragged me to see "Phantom of the Opera". It was the *good one* with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman. I remember sitting in the car on the way to the show, grumbling and stewing about how unfair it was my parents were making me, an adult, go see something I didn't want to see.
I didn't know anything about it and I wasn't a "live theater" sort of guy. I think my parents were in the front seat laughing hysterically and my mom telling me "stop complaining, you're going to love it". Of course, as a 21 year old, I had better things to do. Right? After the show, I was speechless. My parents got even more of a kick out of it when I said that I loved it. My dad had a smile and that "I told you so" look on his face. I still remember that day. When Crawford jumped into the smoky void on the stage and disappeared, I almost fell out of my seat. I couldn't believe how good it was. |

My most recent surprise was watching the new Snoop Dogg webisode of Planet Snoop.
If you youtube it, I'm sure you'll find A Squirel v. A Snake. It's only a few minutes, but I have to say I was amazed at what I saw. Nature is wild! lol |

I'm not all that big into rap, but I love Snoop Dog. I think he's a character. His production company is called "Merry Jane Productions"! |

When I moved 2100 miles from where I was born & lived for 54 years of my life to a place where I knew no one & am now surrounded by the most wonderful friends that are more of a family than I ever experienced in my whole life. Never knew what it felt like to actually LOVE life before now & the people I am around. Love the 10 acre farm I own also.

When I moved to a remote location and all I could afford was a place on a hobby farm where I would be expected to contribute work in return for reductions in rent. I had to chop firewood daily and help in animal care and the ocassional farmers' market.
I was pleasantly surprised. I fit rather well into the lifestyle and found I actually enjoyed it. I miss that place and part of my life today. |

a couple of years ago their was a storm in our area over christmas, and we lost power on the 22nd of december, through the 23rd, and part of the 24th
well the reportsw wern't good.. they said that the entire area wouldn't be on for christmas, because a lot of houses power needed restoring. so i gave up hope of getting power back for a long time- and on the night of the 24th, i decided i'd just lie down and read for the night (nothing better to do), and all of a sudden, in the middle of the storm and all the rain, the power came on (and i had it for christmas after all) so many people in our area still didn't, so i was surprised |
