Name:
Debbie (otherwise known as eskielover or the white dog owner with the truck that barks when anyone gets close)

[/B]age:[/B]
63....old timer...or as we all call ourselves in our horse group "golden girls"

location:
a self relocated native Californian to the beautiful horse capital of the world (not sure how it got the world title but definitely horse capital of the US)....I call it heaven on earth compared to where I came from.

siblings:
NONE. Blessed it seems to be an only child though I thought it could have been nice to have some family other than my only child daughter. Long line on only children. Both my parents were only children, me, & also my daughter (3 generations)

children:
1 daughter who lives halfway between where I used to live & where I live now. Finances have been bad for both of us & haven't seen each other for 8 years. She hates talking on the phone but we text very often. Would rather have text communication than none...I'm good with that. She is my only family & I love her, her BF, & his kids....send gifts & support their activities even if from a distance.

pets:
3 dogs (not pets but 4 legged children)& 2 horses though in divorce leaving one horse with xH. Still need to get my young mare here but horse transportation 2100 miles is expensive.
Planning on adding chickens in the near future...nothing like daily fresh eggs

Favorite color(s):
Turquoise, maroon, peach, orange colors (fall colors)

Favorite season:
Winter....have always loved snow & where I live now usually get several good snow days a year...some years better than others...also no yard work to do so can work inside the house instead

Describe yourself in 3 words:
Helpful
Wacky (sense of humor...try to see the humor in even bad stuff)
Busy

Who is you hero:
Jesus....provided us God's mercy for eternity

Who would you take a bullet for:
Not for someone but would take a bullet rather then deny my belief in Christ

What is the first thing you notice about the opposite sex:
Their ability to have a good conversation. I lived with a H for 33 years who couldn't communicate & would look at me as if I were speaking a foreign language when confronted about anything I thought it was me for so long until I got out of the marriage & now realize I wasn't the one with the problem.

Is there anyone you wish would just fall off the planet:
Only one & that would be my almost ex....that way no more financial problems because of his inability to be responsible financially.

Name one thing you worry about running out of:
my pain meds for my migraines. Anything else I can live without

What was the last CD you bought:
Probably Christmas music several years ago...but have bought several DVD's lately & have been checking out from the library all the Downton Abby series....ok..I'm hooked. No TV but use my computer to watch

In your eyes, who is the best looking female movie/TV person:
I don't have a TV, & don't go to the movies often. Really watch for content not looks....love the part Maggie Smith plays in Downton Abby....what a wonderful older actress IMO.

In your eyes, who is the best male movie/TV person:
Above Answer covers this too, but have to say the man who plays the owner of Downton Abby is rather handsome.

What TV show(s) now off the air would you like to see come back:
I don't have a TV & haven't since May 2007...but would love if downton abby would have been continued for their making the DVD's

If you could afford it, would you have plastic surgery, and if so, what would you have done:
NEVER. God gave me this body & it is what it is. I take care of it & stay in pretty good shape for my age...think all my years of racquetball playing when younger have paid off. If I could afford anything I would get implants so I could have teeth again & my face would look more normal with that....but don't have $10,000 + to pay for it & no ability to pay off that kind of debt. I hate any surgery because the anesthetic they use wipes me out for months after surgeries...usually not worth it for little REAL gain....implant teeth would be a real gain though.

Favorite brand of soap/body wash:
Bath & body works. Especially the orange ginger & the sensual amber & japanese cherry blossom. Like the brand that CVS carries also.

previous & only career:
Aerospace computer design engineer...military communications systems. (lol...any more information than that...would have to shoot you)

best moment of your life, and worst moment
Best: Moving to my farm here & the freedom it's given me.
Worst: all the moments before the move

What question would you add to this questionnaire:

What is your favorite food (s)?
BBQ steak. Haven't been able to eat it since oral surgery a year ago. Had fillet mignon yesterday & cut up really small pieces can't chew it...but it tasted so good. Had been craving a good steak. Love Korean BBQ flavor
Ice cream all flavors.

Thank you for the suggestion Will see about checking out the DVD's for Dr Thorn from the library when I have some time to sit down & watch again. Spring of the farm is busy & by the time I come inside I crash exhausted.

Oh your chicken wings reminded me of my fav childhood meal my mom made....Oriental Chicken Wings

I love living on a farm. I am just getting mine together & don't have my horse here yet & I have some offers of help building a chicken coop so I can get chickens. Once I finally get my horse here, I might get a few goats & probably a little donkey to keep my mare company. I absolutely LOVE living in the country. I have 10 acres that is mostly woods to hike around in. I grew up in the city & always hated it & wanted my parents to move to the country.....that never happened. At age 54, I finally had my dream come true (or at least the land part of it)....I'm here alone but in so many ways it makes it better than being in the bad marriage I tolerated for way too long (33 years to be exact).

I love the wild animals around here too, turkey, deer, raccoons, possums, & the normal squirrels & chipmunks. Nature at it's finest. It's fun after it snows because they you can see the tracks of all the wild animals that are otherwise basically invisible. I have never been happier in my life than I am now.

Oriental chicken wings......sort of a recipe just don't know the amounts..but can do it to taste. It takes soy sauce (low salt is best), minced onion, brown sugar, & I add Sherry Wine. I love to make happy sauces. If you have a teriyaki sauce you like, you can just substitute that. I used an electric fry pan when I had one but any fry pan will do. Just put the wings in the pan & cover them with the sauce. I think it was around 350-375F for about 1 hour - 1 1/2 hours cooking. The sauce will cook down & become really gewey & good.
