Hair Poll Round Two: Short Hair

This is me. Which of these could I pull off with my current hairstyle and which is your favorite?

I think your hairstyle you have now is nice, with a little product you could side sweep your fringe and look similar to the pictures you have posted.

Personally I like the first style posted, it's a little softer around the ears than the other.

In terms of colour, you have warm skin tones so if you're going to change colour some auburn/red warm tones might be nice.

I think on all of them my hair needs to be a little longer. The last one looks great but her bangs are longer.

hmmmm, I tend to like the 'longer' of the short styles, but you have really nice cheekbones and eyes and I'm thinking the last one might be really nice!!! You could still put in any colour you like if that's an interest too!

Hair Poll Round Two: Short Hair

So I called up Lytle's Beauty College to ask how much it would cost to have this done because I am comparing how much it would cost to do it myself (which I know would end up look like crap because I'm terrible at at-home multi-color hair coloring).

They told me $20 AND I have a coupon for 50% off any service AND a complimentary shampoo and blow dry AND if I set it up on a Tuesday or Friday then I get a free haircut because I am a JC student! YIPPPEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Also note: I am going to dye it dark brown first because that would be cheaper to do that and then get the highlights because I can do all-over color at home for $3

Step one: All-over Dye

Hair Poll Round Two: Short Hair

I was so scared of dying it black. I've only dyed my hair black once ten years ago. I looked like Frankenstein, but I also had a pixie cut that was much, much shorter than it is now.

I'm actually quite pleased with it.

Update:

My mom gave me some food for thought. I asked Lytle's over the phone about the coloring, and I realized I need to come in and show them the photo so I know exactly what numbers we're looking at. I may be thinking one thing, and Lytle's may be thinking of something else. Because I may be thinking I'm going to spend between $10-20, and then show up and realize it's $30-60.

My own is like the last photo (orange bangs) only I'm growing out the dye (it most recently was all over maroon). A lot of work, taking for ever and gross on account of the obvious roots. But no regrets. I could be your 'older' twin by the way.

That is a remarkably good price! Take advantage of it.

Hair Poll Round Two: Short Hair

Hair Poll Round Two: Short Hair

I LOVE IT!!!!

I had the best day at the salon ever! I was there from 10am-4pm. I was smart to dye my hair black to cancel out the red in my hair, because it was super easy to lift the color out of my hair with the bleach. If I hadn't, I would have had to come back the next day. Even the hair stylist and instructor (I went to a beauty school) were surprised with how fast it was to do the bleach. The student hair stylist was super polite, always saying please and thank you and very friendly and she worked as a team with her classmates who helped color and wash my hair which I hadn't experienced before.

Of course, my hair doesn't look exactly like the photo, but who cares? I'm super happy with it!
