Just curious. I feel like I spend a lot of time cleaning, but my place is still always a wreck! I spend on average probably 5 or 6 hours a week.

Also, do you have children?

Not nearly as much as I "should" or want to......Actually I don't even clean every week.

Even though I'm a clean/neat freak, I HATE to clean because it's boring, laborious, time consuming and just a plain pain the a s s. I don't get these commercials showing people smiling while they clean!

I do wipe up spills or crumbs when cooking anything though.

If you mean routine stuff like cleaning the bathroom----I do it when it needs it or when I can't stand it anymore, LOL.

Dusting is the worse for me. As soon as I'm done, there's MORE dust already! It's a never ending task (cleaning) and in some ways, fruitless. There's so much dirt and dust in the air all the time, esp. around here with all the wind.

No I don't have kids. If I did there would be more of mess I'm sure. But I'd be on their case to clean up their mess anyway.

Haven't added it up. Several hours per week and yes, I have 3 minor children.

Too many.
No kids, but one elderly lady (mum) and a cat. 3 beds and bathrooms, so I tend to do whatever needs doing when I see it. And try not to think how much I'd rather be doing something else.

No children but an 8 year old cat that is messy. Cat hair and litter scattered. I clean about twice a week a total of about 11 hours. I have to have it clean cause i am a neat nick about cat hair, link, dust, mold, carpet not clean, etc. I smell everything and if it smells it bothers me. So i have to have a clean house. Also i have a load of materials that with dye in them stink up the house if i don't keep moving and restacking them. I do crafts. tc

I am obsessed with cleaning and am neat picking about everything, I get really anxious if things aren't neat but I can't say I clean excessive amount of find as my solution is to clean as I go, just pretty much not make a mess. I do have a kid but she is an adult and doesn't live with me anymore. She is a slob. lol it was a pain when she was a teenager. When I visit her I start cleaning her place right away. She gets pissed but is grateful later.

I've never thought to count ... daily I'm cleaning counters etc ... I do my bathrooms and the floors every Sunday (unless I need to touch them up inbetween). I have 2 kids.

Not enough!

I used to be very **** about cleaning but I've struggled to get back into any sort of routine bar doing my dishes daily since my mental health problems came around.

No kids but three dogs and two messy adults that don't pick up after themselves. I have to clean or I would be overrun with the dog hair in particular. I do light cleaning about an hour daily. Once a week every week I do everything on each floor of the house so it takes 2-5 additional hours per floor each week. I have now gotten to where I rotate floors to alternating weeks for thorough cleaning because I have been working 80+ hours a week and don't have time to do it all in one week. It bothers me but lacking time and energy, it will have to do.
