I *finally* start my housekeeping job tomorrow. I'm sooooo excited! I've been preparing the past couple weeks by going to bed by dark and waking up around 7. I'm so excited! I'll let you know how it goes!

My first day was amazing! It was better than I had ever hoped and I thanked the Lord for his strength and guidance.

I took a ton of notes, but in the end, I don't really need them. My boss trained me all day and she had me focus on the bathrooms. I am being trained for 5 days and then I'll be on my own. Everyone is so nice and friendly, and when my boss was busy and I had to clean the room myself, I had trouble with the duvet and two other housekeepers had to help me put it on, and at the end of the day my boss said even the two housekeepers thought I did a really good job! This is the first job where I've had so much positive feedback and I think I am really going to love it here.

I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful job. Three hard months and finally I am at a job where I leave work smiling. Thank you for all your support while I job-hunted.

Each day gets better and better. Today I worked with a Spanish speaker who knew a little English and we got along great! We made quite the team, so much, in fact, that we were faster than everyone else and did such a great job on our rooms we got to go home early! AND we were such a great team that my boss paired me with her tomorrow again! I am really, really loving my job. I am sore and exhausted at the end of the day, but I know it's because I did an excellent job at work.

I hope this continues to be that way and such positivity maintained. So many of us are stuck doing something that is either stressful or has not meaning to us. Happy for you.
