I love to read lit fiction and to listen to music!
I am always with music in my ears, at work, on the street, at home. It takes pain, stress, it frees my mind. I also like to imagine music videos I would create for those songs. Or how I would manage the band.
And of course, books are the biggest part of my life. I read daily, no matter how tired I am, I must read at least a page.
How do you relax? With books? Or music? Or daydreaming?

I relax by reading too. and I love music as well. I can find a song I like in any type of music-- they say-- "music soothes the soul"

I also like to take my dog for a walk and find gardening is also relaxing.

Thanks for sharing-- good post and topic!

I live for books and music. I'm a musician (not professional) and sitting down with my harp calms me like nothing can. And I love blaring Springsteen when I need to get things done.

As for books - reading is my main form of entertainment. I spend way too much money on books.

I love reading, as a matter of fact I'm reading 4 or 5 books at the moment. I just love getting into different stories, I read nonfiction, fiction, anything really. Informational books too like I'm reading Catholicism for Dummies right now. I just really eager to learn as much as I can about various different things and interests.

Music is also wonderful and part of my life everyday. I like all different kinds, rock, rap, hip hop, country, pop, electronic, relaxation music, it all serves different purposes and it depends on what mood I'm in.

All of the above, my friend. I love to read and, just like you, wherever I go, my music goes as well. I actually find myself daydreaming while I'm listening to music. It might sound corny, but I often imagine myself singing whatever it is I'm listening to at the time.

The tv is on - usually turned to 24hr news - at most times but mostly for white noise. I feel uncomfortable when it is quiet. As for keeping myself busy I read a lot; both fiction and non-fiction. It seems nearly every flat surface in my home has a stack of books upon it. I don't use a liibrary as I am not very kind to my books. In fact I am horrible. I break the spines, fold pages, and often write notes in and highlight passages. Fortunately I live down the street from a used book store of which I am a frequent visitor. More than once I've had a 'doh' moment, bringing home a book identical to one already on my shelf or even the very book I previously traded in (!!).

I listen to music, There is a radio on in the house 24 hours a day, plus I have all my albums and CD`s I can listen to or listen on Pandora. I can`t read very much at all. Just don`t have the concentration for it anymore!

Sometimes music is what gets me through a hard day--especially at work.

I read constantly. Love music but not as much as I once did. Getting into tv shows more thanks to Netflix.
