I'm a huge beach bum at heart despite being a red head (aka someone who practically has to avoid the sun lest they be burnt to a crisp in a few minutes), so having time to just sit on the warm sand and enjoy the ocean breeze is so refreshing and relaxing to me.

I wouldn't want to live on a beach though, because I would be so spoiled by being there that the beach wouldn't be special to me anymore. So, just taking the occasional trip there to enjoy it is amazing in and of itself, and since I live only a few hours drive away from one, it's a very doable trip for me.

What's your favorite place to take a vacation?

I love Ireland. Been there three times and want to go back.

My favorite place to vacation though? Right here on the farm.

South Africa.

My grandpa lived there so we started going regularly-ish to visit him but unfortunately he passed away. I haven't been back since but my parents went again this year.

His winter house was a couple of hours south of Durban & was literally 50m away from the beach in an apartment complex. You could hear the sea lapping the shore in bed at night. There was a trampoline, I used to hit a tennis ball against the garages and there were monkeys resident. Good childhood memories.

Would love to go back one day myself.

I used to pay to go on vacations to get away to country like I live in now & am surrounded by on my farm. It's nice to live in where I would vacation to because I have no money for vacation.

Though of past vacations I always loved going to our winter ski condo in Jackson Hole Wyo. loved the country & snow mobiling into Yellowstone to see sights only there in the winter....& x-country ski into Teton national park & down hill skii at the village or in town by our condo. Loved driving around the country an seeing long horn sheep up in the hills or having a moose jump out in front of my car & stroll down the road in front of me looking back several times to see if I was still back there.

Now I'm surrounded by wildlife on my own farm, no need to go anywhere to find it other than home sweet home

Of all the places I've been, Ireland is my favorite. It's so magical, lovely, and the people are friendly and warm.

New York. I don't think I've ever loved a place as much as I love New York City.

I also like going to my aunt and uncle's beach condo. It's nice to not have to pay for lodging.

NYC is amazing, so is the Napa Valley and the redwoods (here in northern Calif). The weirdest and scariest place I've ever visited is Hollywood.
