Long story short: One of the balls on my septum ring fell off and was therefore lost, so I had to do something because my piercing shop is closed until Tuesday for vacation, but my piercing is new enough that if the jewelry came out my hole would close, and I didn't want that to happen...so after 1 stop at a bad shop, I went to a good shop and they didn't have what I wanted, so I settled. Instead of having a horseshoe now, I've got a captive bead ring.

How do you like it?

Aw, thanks!

I'm still getting used to it and I feel weird every time I look in the mirror, but in a day or two I won't be surprised at what I see lol.

I think small horseshoes are super pretty and cute. Almost dainty. But the big ones are ugly asf...that's why I got this instead of the horseshoe with huge balls.

Thanks Moogs! I'm gonna keep this for at least a month, just because my piercing is so new...and who knows, maybe I'll grow to love it and want to keep it in indefinitely.

So it's been a few days, and I'm still not used to this. I think it's mostly because of the curve, it's a much sharper curve than my last piece of jewelry. My issue isn't how it looks (I'm starting to really dig it), it's that I can feel it and am cognisant of the fact that it's there which is kind of annoying. Hopefully in a few more days I'll be used to it and won't notice it at all.
