Lol.....no. I bought a vintage Furby baby off of ebay just now. The description says it's not working, but I think I might be able to get it running.

I have a friend that has had great success with Meetups. One is a walk/hike weekly. Another is 'wine and painting' night monthly. And her favourite is a Meetup that does something new each week. One day it was ziplining. Another it was luge carting.

She seems definitely to be over the boredom and emotionally more healthy too. The best part of this activity is that she has met some new aquaintances.

I stick closer to home myself as I don't drive or have the funds for the activities (kind of stupid to walk 5 km to join others in another 5 km walk). But I still try to remain active. I do my own lengthy walks, and I read (perhaps to an excess). While I can't afford to participate in all the festivals in town I walk down and enjoy the free entertainment.

Read
walk
find free things to do.
create/make art if you can.

When I'd complain to my mom that I was bored she would say "Go hit your head in the wall."

Go to the beach, sit still, listen to the waves and lose yourself for a while.
Clarity returns at such times.

Yeah, there's always something to do on a farm.

Alas, the beach is a 4 or so hour drive from my house. That and it's kind of crowded right now, what with the seemingly endless 90+ degree days we've been having here in NC.

One thing I sometimes do to cure boredom is figure out exactly what I really don't want to do, and then do that whatever it is

Clean and organize your house? Go to gym? Read? Watch Netflix? Draw or do crafts? Cook? Get more hours at work or maybe second job? Join meetups?

I am laughing because my mom used to say the same thing.

I think we have a lot in common! My parents were originally from NY.

There was also, "Here's a nickel, don't spend it all in one place." And "Go play on the freeway."

My parents weren't and I heard the very same things word for word! Well except freeway was hiway or queen'sway.

My dear children were afraid to tell me that they were board. I always had a list of things to do and none were all that fun.
Thanks for this!
