I just got my Deathly Hallows book today, a couple hours ago from my Saturday, U.S. Postal Service lady :-) Fortunately I haven't heard/read about the ending which has been leaked and I'm on Chapter 3 now.

I haven't seen the Order of the Phoenix movie but some things about it. I don't care so much about the movies having read the books so I wait for them on DVD and watch them on my little portable player in bed some night since my husband could care about Harry Potter :-)

Actually, I'm looking for someone to tell me the ending -- I haven't read any of the books or seen any of the movies, but I had to write the dang preview story and hang out with the loonies standing in line all dressed up. ;-) I'm tired of the overkill and I have no intention of ever reading this book, much less the whole series -- I just want to know what the fuss is about. PM me if you know. What got "leaked" online was false.

You know what? I had actually never seen a Harry Potter movie or read any of the books up until I saw the New movie last week. I used to never be interested in it. but this one looked interesting and me and a friend went to see it at the theater last week. It was very good! I'm not gonna give it away for people that havent seen it yet. but i loved it!! thats my kind of movie! maybe i'll see some of the others now. hmm.

I finished reading the book yesterday, and liked it! I think it's still going to be second to my favourite book though, "The Half-Blood Prince". Perna, I hope you enjoy it!

i am going to buy the book today ..i cant wait..i have all four books in hard back....and i saw all of the movies....and i even recieved as a present from someone a book about the Author ..its really cool. I love harry potter...and yes..im 19 and reading it but i dont care...when i was 11 (they just came out then) i didnt read them, thought they were stupid...and refused to read them...i dont know why..i guess i was never a child much into magic..i liked the classics (wuthering heights, emily dickensons poetry that sorta stuff) but my cousin bought me the book for my birthday, it had been out for awhile at by that time... so i said..i cant let a book go to waste...so i sat down and read some...and realized i couldnt put it down!! I finished the book that night at around 1 am....same with the other books..they were so addictive that i couldnt put them down...except this last one i wasnt to thrilled with because Harry was just mean in alot of it....and im not one to read about someone else being so mean...but anyway..i guess it was just Harry going through puberity...but i cant wait to read this book...im sure we are dying to know how the ending goes.....

my grandmother said if the author is smart she should make another series based off Harry Potter...you know...like Harry should be headmaster or something...mind you this is just small talk and we know nothing about the last book so we arent giving away secerts...just saying how the author should take it from the last...she did so well with this series...i dont think there has ever been as long as a series that has so many fans this into it..i mean you see books with like 15 books to them....and no body talks about them..or is that interested as Harry Potter...I say she should use that as a way of spinning off into something else....

just my opionion...

No offense to the poster, but maybe a moderator could delete that posting?

The book came out at 11am on Sat here, I got it round about 3pm and finished it that night... awesome! I love the whole series, don't like movies as much but still go see them. Phoenix was alright, but the movie for Azkaban was way better imo. Apart from the random clapping part at the end... I think Half Blood Prince is my favourite book overall

I avoided this thread until I had gotten the book. I read it in 4 days!!! SOOOO GOOOOD!!!!

(I edited the one post that talked about the ending. Lets keep all plot discussion to PM)

I had the sixth book ruined for me when I was halfway through so when I saw this thread I avoided it like the plague. If I saw any mention of Harry Potter on TV I muted it. So when I got that book, I flew through it!!!

I won't discuss my opinions on how J.K could continue the series, so as not to give anything away about the ending of this book, but I had to pipe in that I LOVE Harry Potter and LOVED the 7th book!!!!

I just had an idea, if we want to discuss plot, we could start a new thread and put ***Harry Potter SPOILER*** in the subject and in the first part of the posts. I think that would be a safe way for us to discuss.

My grandm was asking me in line at the bank how it ended and I said "What if there are people in line who aren't there yet?" And a woman said "Thank you". So I'm glad I didn't even discuss it in public.
