Tonight's the night I destroy my 1 mile (nonstop) jog time of 9:10 and most especially the total 2 mile time I'll be jogging which currently stands at 21:00.

I usually rest (walk or stand still) for a second or two when I hit that 1 mile mark, then make my way back jogging as much as I can, resting as little as I can, but I do tend to rest more on the way back, as I'm knackered at that point. xD I jog over some mixed terrain, at night when it's cold and dark. I'm excited and determined. Maybe by telling y'all about it, I'll push myself harder! I've prepared plenty. Stretches, leg massages, coffee, a hearty meal, ... I feel prepared!

I did it. I got 8:40. I had a terrible start though. I went far too fast, thinking I could handle that speed. WRONG. 2:30 I was starting to burn out. Oh well, I carried on and without stopping, despite my body screaming at me to stop and rest. Haha.

I just don't get how I got 23:00 total time when I swear I did it 30-60 seconds faster in total. Really disappointed by that, but I guess the stopwatch doesn't lie? I remember being really close to my home and the clock was at about 20, so maybe I hit a time vortex thingy. ¬_¬ Still, one record beaten, so that's something. My recent slowest total time is 25:00, so at least it was in the middle. (21, 23, 25)

I wasted too much time walking or stopping for rest. Especially when I hit that mile. It was also really cold, but now I'm just making excuses. -_-

So, I went out again tonight, thinking I might just beat one of the times again. Nope. No luck. Was a stupid idea. My legs were really sore. x_x Looks like I'll be resting up for a couple of days.

I just completely crashed and burned after that 1 mile was done. Legs were too sore. Surprised I even managed the mile. Thought they would be fine but nope. Didn't even beat my damn time. 8:43 for the mile there. Walked most of the way back because legs were too screwed.

Still got 24:52 for the full journey which actually isnt too bad given I walked most of the way back. My recent worst total time still stands at 25:00 for the full 2 miles. I felt really defeated after that 1 mile time so that didnt help at all. 4 more damn seconds and I'd have at least beaten it by a second. >.<

On the bright side, I got 3 seconds close to my best time again, the very next night, and without a silly 2:30 fast run right at the start. Which means I had a steady faster pace, so taht's actually sort of an improvement. Had I not been so utterly exhausted towards the end (where there's a bit of a steady incline >.<) I would've beaten it. Should've rested today. Lesson learned.
