I've dealt with this porch since moving in here last year. First, let me advise, one should never paint concrete! I have three layers of old peeling paint. The online advice says to remove ALL the old paint. I don't want to get into using chemical strippers, so that's out. My neighbor, for whom I petsit for two weeks actualliy took a high pressure washer to it, saying it would knock off all the paint...It didn't. I've spent the past two weeks out there in the heat scraping up all the loose paint. Anyway...it's still an eyesore, and now I'm using this floor leveler sand mixture from Home Depot to smooth it. Well...the concrete is so hot, the stuff starts to dry before I can get it smoothed. I've made a mess! OH, well...I'll eventually do something with this eyesore porch!
Patty Home impreovement...peeling concrete porch!
