This year was my very first year I voted. As per community guidelines, I won't mention who or what I voted for....I feel confident in who I voted for and I was very excited to jot down my ballot for the propositions. My parents told me to vote all no...but there was a couple I personally felt I had to vote yes for...so I'm being a bit of a rebel.
Do you remember your first election? Who did you vote for? Do you remember the propositions you voted for? I am so nervous about this election but I am glad I can vote while I still can. |

Good for you!
Yes, I remember the first presidential election I was old enough to vote in. 1984. Back then, the presidential winner could be named on east coast time. Screw California (and the entire west). Well, by the time I got off work to vote the president had already been named...and he wasn't the candidate I was voting for. I walked to the polling place, crying. |

I could have voted in 2012, but my mind was completely mush, being less than a year after my hospitalization, so politics wasn't much of anything I could comprehend.

Good for you! You can vote whatever you want, it's your decision not your parents. I remember my first presidential election was when Obama ran the first time. I voted for Obama.

That's weird. And next time could you please put a trigger warning if you are going to say something like that? Thank you.

I don't see how that is triggering but I deleted the post...

Yes, it is on the ballot, and it's an important proposition.

EDIT: I forgot we're not supposed to discuss any political stuff.
But I still think it's funny. |
